Lamar’s history is rooted in the wild west. In 1886, locals made off with the railroad station located several miles to the east and founded Lamar. A colorful mix of characters have passed through town, and these buildings hold their tales.

This walking tour encompasses three blocks south of the railroad track and then two blocks north.
