The Grand Lodge of Colorado chartered Lamar Lodge no. 90 in September 1892 and has occupied this building since its construction in 1902. The first floor was subdivided for tenants including the U.S. Post Office, the local telephone and telegraph company, an undertaker, physicians, lawyers, and more.
