Oktoberfest

There are plenty of events and attractions for the annual Lamar Chamber of Commerce Oktoberfest, Saturday, October 5th at the Lamar Chamber offices along East Beech Street.
Food vendors, 8th annual Beers & Brats for Boobies, 5K run, The annual Toys for Tots Poker Run, The motorcycle games of skill, All the Right Moves and Spirit Dance, a Kid’s Carnival will be underway in the Enchanted Forest and should continue until around 4pm (This will feature rides to a pumpkin patch and decorating until all the gourds are gone), pumpkin bowling and pumpkin Tic Tac Toe.
A corn hold contest begins at 4pm to raise funds for the 2021 Junior After Prom, and JUDI performs at 5pm with live music continuing at 8:30pm with Adam Lopez and Band.
Kids games will be set up along the path of the Forest, there’s a rock wall to climb and Walk on Water Bubbles will be present. The Lamar Elks Lodge will present the movie, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” every half hour at the Forest with popcorn, kool-aid and water drinks for the kids. A VROne virtual reality trailer will offer entertainment to kids 9 and older.
